How to Access a VEXA Emergency Profile
Anyone (a rider, emergency responder, friend, family member or bystander) can access a VEXA emergency profile in three simple ways. No app is required.
Hold the back of your smartphone against the VEXA Card. Most modern phones automatically detect VEXA Scannable Technology and open the emergency profile.
Use any phone camera to scan the printed QR code on the VEXA Card, Key Tag or Pendant. This works on every smartphone and is a reliable alternative to tapping.
Each VEXA Card, Key Tag and Pendant carries a unique Emergency Rider ID. Type it into the VEXA emergency lookup page at www.vexamoto.com to access the profile manually. No app is required.
Always a backup, always accessible
VEXA is designed with backup access methods. If tap-to-scan does not activate, the QR code and Emergency Rider ID can still be used to access the rider's emergency profile.
Device Compatibility
Tips for scanning a VEXA product on iPhone and Android.
iPhone
- iPhones can usually scan a VEXA Card from the front or back of the phone.
- On most modern iPhones, scanning happens automatically.
- Hold the top or back of the iPhone close to the VEXA product.
- Thick, metal, magnetic, MagSafe, rugged or wallet-style cases may interfere with scanning.
- If the scan does not activate first time, remove the case and try again.
- If tap-to-scan still does not activate, scan the QR code or enter the Emergency Rider ID manually.
Android
- Android phones can usually scan VEXA products with a simple tap.
- The scanning reader location varies depending on the phone model.
- Some Android phones require NFC to be switched on manually.
- Some Android phones may also require Nearby Device Scanning or Nearby Scan to be enabled.
- Check Settings and search for “NFC”, “Contactless”, “Nearby Device Scanning” or “Nearby Scan”.
- Thick, metal, magnetic, rugged or wallet-style cases may block scanning.
- If tap-to-scan does not activate, remove the case and try again.
- If tap-to-scan still does not work, scan the QR code or enter the Emergency Rider ID manually.
